Welcome New Board Members and Committee Members

IFMA President, Karen Leigh Cook has always enjoyed being a part of the "IFMA can do" attitude and is at her best when sharing her passion for a community cause.  Karen's role as Interface Account Executive has provided her with a foundation for many of her accomplishments including her work in Interface America’s National Recycling Policy, the state of New Mexico Green Building Tax Credit, assisting US Mayors in the development of National Water Policy and developing sustainable purchasing guidelines for local and state governments.  With 30 years behind her in commercial real estate specializing in urban redevelopment, Karen will continue to bring her knowledge and enthusiasm to the IFMA Family. 

IFMA Vice President Marissa Oakeley brings with her 17 years of experience in integrated sales, marketing and strategic business planning.  Her creative energy to both committees as well as the board has helped provide the foundation our local IFMA chapter needs to continue its successful growth.  As the Strategic Business Manager for Tremco Construction Products Group over the last five years, she has been instramental in the company's sales and marketing growth helping them increase their market position in the Southwest Region as well as the industry.

IFMA Treasurer, Melanie Garcia serves a fundamental role to our organization as the liason between the Anderson School of Management User Group and UNM Plannning, Design and Construction.  Melanie's extensive knowledge in conference and project planning, including the $25 Million UNM McKinnon Center for Management Project, will serve IFMA well.  As UNM Anderson School of Management's Facility Manager, she is well positioned to support the specific needs of IFMA members. 

IFMA Secretary, Amy Townsley is entering her fourth year of service for our organization.  Her dedication and fervor for building strong community relationship has served the board well over the years.  Amy's work at Steamatic has put her in a key position for connecting with and supporting facility managers throughout New Mexico.  She is an ardent believer that participation is key in any organization and she's proven this over the years with your contributions to IFMA, FMA and CREW.
