discovered of the last year; followed by a panel discussion.

Donna Marion
Moderator-
Donna Marion, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, NCARB
Donna sees architecture as the balance of tension between technical needs and design possibilities; one that has the unique ability to benefit the common good. She utilizes her keen attention to detail and efficient management style to lead highly technical projects for a variety of clients including Sandia National Laboratories (SNL). Donna is passionate about environmental stewardship and is leading Studio Southwest Architects’ in-house sustainable design initiatives from their Santa Fe office. She volunteers for Habitat for Humanity and sits on the board of the New Mexico Recycling Coalition.

Andy Benson
Panelist-
Andy Benson, AIA, LEED AP
Andy Benson is a Principal Architect at Studio Southwest Architects. He has focused his career on the design of lower education facilities for school districts and Native clients across New Mexico. In recent years he has shifted his focus to include technical and high-security projects for the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and Sandia National Labs (SNL). Andy is an active member of the community with past affiliations to the Public School Facility Authority, the PSCOC, and the USGBC. Andy currently sits on the board of the Professional Aerospace Contractors Association (PACA) of New Mexico. 

Greg Miller
Panelist-
Gregory Miller, FASLA
Gregory Miller, FASLA has twenty three years of experience as a landscape architect, and is a Principal with the firm MRWM Landscape Architects in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He has developed a design philosophy that integrates sustainable development trends with site specific ecological and human needs. This combination results in innovative projects that are functional, safe, accessible, aesthetically pleasing and environmentally responsible. He works extensively on parks, streetscapes, campuses, and health care facilities. He has recently been a speaker at national and regional conferences on topics including: inclusive play area design, the evolution of play environments, enriching landscapes with appropriate cultural design elements, designing public landscapes for maintenance, adaptive planting design strategies, and high efficiency irrigation design. 

Greg teaches Construction Materials as an adjunct professor in the MLA program at the University of New Mexico.  He served as the National President of the American Society of Landscape Architects in 2018. Greg graduated from Texas A&M University. 

Matt Higgins

Matt Higgins, CxA, CEM, HBDP, LEED-AP (BD+C)
Matt Higgins, Principal at EEA Consulting Engineers has 14 years of experience working in both architecture and engineering firms, and over 600 energy analysis projects seeking cost reductions, reduced carbon emissions, and environmental stewardship. Experience developing various tools and standards for energy analysis and energy measurement & verification. As Principal at EEA, business development and project management have become critical responsibilities with key strengths in communication, diligent planning and organization, and team management.

Anne Elizabeth
As an NCIDQ certified designer, Anne Elizabeth worked as a commercial interior designer for 18 years before joining Knoll five years ago. At Knoll, she supports commercial and government focused pursuits in the New Mexico, Arizona and El Paso markets.  Dubbed ‘AE’ for short, she has a passion for partnering with her clients to develop custom furniture solutions that reflect the culture of their brand and their specific work processes.   Her background as a designer allows her to combine a detail focused and technical expertise with a creative approach.  Her expertise and experience in design for education has given her a focus on durable and adaptable design through budget conscious solutions.
