Sites Southwest integrates Planning, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, and Environmental Services into a robust mix of disciplines that deliver our clients with imaginative, well-conceived and successful places. We do this by looking at planning and design through three lenses:  environmentally health, economic viability and culturally richness.  We have found that these three characteristics of any place or project can help create catalytic synergies that drive design and implementation success.  The firm was established in December of 1997 in New Mexico as a Limited Liability Corporation.  We are a medium-sized firm of 18 professionals with offices in Albuquerque NM, and El Paso Texas.

As a partner of Sites Southwest, Mr. Radnovich brings a broad spectrum of planning and design expertise to the public sector. His capabilities include: project management, reclamation planning, landscape ecology, community planning, urban design, regional analysis, site planning and planning for sustainability.  Mr. Radnovich has been a leader in the field of Low Impact Development and water conservation in the site and landscape, especially in the southwest.  He cofounded the New Mexico Xeriscape Council in 1987 and the New Mexico Chapter of the USGBC and has promoted environmentally appropriate design throughout his career.  He has also lectured at workshops and conferences throughout the Southwest on the subject.  In addition, Mr. Radnovich has worked on large scale master plans for secured environments such as those within scientific laboratories and military bases.  He has extensive experience in project coordination of very large projects with multi-disciplinary teams like the MESA (Microsystems and Engineering Sciences Application) Campus Plan at Sandia National Laboratories.

Overall Paragraph Resume:

George is perhaps best known for his efforts to create a more regional approach to site and landscape design in the arid southwest through his work with water conservation, xeriscape and green infrastructure. His interest stems from his love of the outdoors and wild places – where he loves to hike, fish, and generally enjoy natural environments. George also enjoys lecturing on the subject of water and appropriate landscaping and has spread the word at workshops and conferences throughout the United States and Mexico. He also works with political leaders creating water conservation legislation. In many ways, George and the movements which he has promoted throughout his career fundamentally changed landscape architecture in the Southwestern United States.
